This handbook is the result of a cooperation between Friends of the Earth Europe, Energy Cities and Rescoop.eu. It can’t cover every aspect of launching a community energy project, but includes as much information and practical tips as possible to help you navigate the field — and useful links to more resources. This guide aims to be as useful as possible to people and communities across Europe (and maybe further afield), while also providing some specific answers to questions for a variety of European countries. We hope you find this guide valuable in your journey to take on the climate crisis and reclaim power.
