POWERPOOR Energy Poverty Mitigation Toolkit

POWERPOOR is a Horizon 2020 project with the goal to support citizens suffering from energy poverty by developing support programmes that are implemented in eight European countries. The project aims to enable citizens in energy poverty to use alternative financing options, including energy cooperatives, to encourage knowledge and experience sharing, and promote small-scale energy efficiency interventions and renewable energy source installations. While the project is not directly focused on energy communities, it tries to make energy communities more accessible to citizens suffering from energy poverty.

To support these programmes and facilitate the process, the POWERPOOR toolkit was developed. It includes three different tools that are accessible on the project’s website. PowerTarget and PowerAct require the user to create an account and fill-in surveys on their building and energy use, while PowerFund is a separate website with open access information.
